The project

A real client engagement: elevating the digital experience of a physiotherapy and wellness clinic in Montevideo. The clinic already had a platform to manage its agenda, services and client base — we rebuilt it from scratch with a modern design and a friendlier, lower-friction experience, based on a design provided by a human designer, and added new functionality they needed along the way.

What I built

An end-to-end web app: a polished front end backed by Google Firebase (Firestore + Auth) and Firebase Functions for things like appointment reminders and email. Highlights: a 3-step booking flow with real-time availability, role-based access (client / professional / admin), prepaid session packages (“coupon books”), an exercise-video library for patients, analytics, and configurable notifications. Stack: React + TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind, Firebase, and CI/CD on Netlify.

The part I’m proudest of

The final stage was developed mostly by the clinic’s CEO — a physiotherapist with no technical background — with my guidance, using Claude Code. With the right mentoring he shipped tasks of medium and, at times, high complexity himself. To me that’s the clearest proof of where product-building is heading: clarity and guidance matter more than raw coding.

Where it stands

Weeks away from going live and into production — launching to the public shortly.

What I learned

That AI lets us take a real business system end to end — a beautiful front end and a serious serverless backend — and that with the right guidance even a non-technical domain expert can build meaningful parts of it.
